Just a question, I am having a hard time of viewing my backup after I put it on my PC? How can I do this? My old My Passport drive was easy just backup and then put it on my PC. My current My Passport, I can backup my PC files to the external hard drive, but I can’t view it when I put it on my PC’s hard drive. Does this makes since?
If you can’t see your backup files, they might be inside a WDBackup.swstor folder or stored in a different format. Try installing WD Backup or WD Discovery to restore them. Look for file types like .zip, .bak, or .wdf if they are compressed or encrypted. For easier access, manually copy files instead of using WD’s backup software.
Okay. Just to let you know that I don’t have a WD Backup drive but I have WD Discovery. I’ve been using Acronis True Image for Western Digital as my backup. So, how an I view it when I put it on my PC’s hard drive when it shows the logo of Acronis True Image right next to the backup?
