Help for choosing the right NAS

Currently, I use two external 500GB hard drives to backup my files. I first backup files from my mobile devices to my PC and then use Sync-Toy to backup first on one external hard drive, and then backup contents on the 2nd hord drive. I know…quite manual and old-fashioned but that’s it for now. I use about 300GB of each hard drive.
I would like to upgrade to have new capabilities offered by NAS/PCS. I.e. file sharing, access anywhere and from any device, automatic backup.
What solution do you suggest?

  1. My Cloud storage and throw away by current external drives
    or
  2. An empty My cloud EX2 and reuse my external drives for start?

I would read the user manual for both and make a decision based on your needs. You can use an external USB drive on either NAS.
