I have a WD Cloud Home, and for some reason one of the folders (my private folder) has lost all access.
I can use file manager to get to the top level, and can also get into the Public folder.
Below are the various error messages I get, so would like straightforward steps to change the permissions so I can get access. The data is still there.
You do not have permission to view or edit this objects permission settings
I tried to search for root to match the public folder but it came back as not found
There was an option to set it up as a new unit, but I did not take that option as I was unclear if it would wipe all my data files.
Any help greatly appreciated
The KBA also suggested signing in locally with IP Address or with local password
The Clear Device Settings allows device owners to reset if there are issues getting to the private share or enabling local access. The is available in the My Cloud Home dashboard.
Sign into the Dashboard using the Web app, IP Address or Hostname.
