Help All of a sudden WD MyBook doesn't light up and drive doesn't show up on my computer?

Could this be a power issue? I hope I haven’t lost all of my data on my portable external HD?? Thanks for any help with this.

It could very well be a power issue related to the power adapter. Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
