Heat problems, multi user access issues?

Hi

   I am planning to buy a 6GB DUO for home use. I was wondering if this product has any excessive heat issues (it has no fan) in Texas. Also it says personal in its name, does it mean only one user can access the drive at a time?

   I like the unit but I am not sure if this survives in hot weather with moderate use.

Where are you planning on installing it such that weather would be an issue? Un-air-conditioned space of some sort?

Yes. Trying to understand the implications of not having a fan in this unit.
