HDMI 1.3 or 1.4 because no sound files .avi

hello, 

i need your help

i have bought a WD elements play 2 TO and i transfert some films .avi inside but i have a cable HDMI 1.3 and i have no sound !

is an hdmi cable 1.4 will be the solution ?

i have a MAC not a PC please help me

i have tried with peritel cable and the sound is ok but when i connect the HDMI cable, no sound …

The EP only requires a “High Speed” HDMI cable.

There’s no such thing as an HDMI 1.3 or HDMI 1.4 cable.  HDMI cables do not have version numbers.
