I don’t know if this is a firmware issue, so I’ll ask You: it’s possible to shutdown the connectd hdd with the WDTV off?
Can this feature be implemented in future update?

I don’t understand if someone haven’t this same problem and if depending on by the WD TV version ?!

It’s not something that can be fixed in firmware. It has to be fixed in hardware. Apparently, WD realized it was something everyone wanted so (according to what I’ve read) this feature can be found in the WD TV Gen2 and the WD TV Live.
