HDD Delivered Back As It IS...?

I have a problem with my WD External 500 GB HDD. It’s not getting detected by PC. I have checked for it’s warranty & now when it is in limited warranty, I have created RMA for the same. And I have sent it to WD (Flextronics Technologies (India) Pvt. Ltd. SVR Fortune, No 70-A,Electronic City, Hosur Road, Bangalore 560100.

I have packed the HDD in the proper way as mentioned in RMA premailer document. After Day’s I have received it back with no changes, The HDD is as it is ? Why no repairs or replacement ? 

Any body with same issue please guide me for my problem solving.
