HDD 500gb WDC green clicking ..?hiks

hello all , Iam very sad today…:frowning:

my HDD is clicking now…

when Iam finished copying files, shutdown my PC…and  restart again my PC…my HDD actually not detected again…

all my data is lost…again…

maybe any info for this problem…???

Hi there, if this is the second time it happens then I’d check on the power supply and voltage if I were you. Also check different ports on your MoBo and a different MoBo if possible.

There’s a trigger somewhere!

do you have any UPS or Surge Protector or similar device that protects the hardware from power issues?

do you have a cheap power-supply and is more than six month old?

do you have normally more than one hard disk?  (if so, do not use the cheapest power supply, allways use a good one)

if you experience frequent issues (in this case, with hard disks) check the above, and also the place you bouth them, in case of repeaded failures consider buying in another place.

Is it the second disk with problems? Did you actually finished copying files to another drive?

It is not very clear what you did. (english is not my native language either)

Check that the bios is able to detect it.
