Dears,
I have Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit installed on DELL desktop (Optiplex 990) i7 Core.
I have two HDD:
<Disk 0> WDC WD5000AAKX-753CA1 - 500GB - contains the operating system .
<Disk 1> WDC WD10EARX-00N0YB0 - 1TB - empty.
I want to make a partition on disk 1 to mirror the operating system partition and keep the remaining for data storage.
I tried to do but I had the following error message:
“All disks holding extents for a given volume must have the same sector size, and the sector size must be valid.”
I asked some experts, they said that this is becasue the 1TB HD is formatted as per the new 4kb sector size and the 500GB formatted as per the standard system 512kb sector size. If this true, how can I change the format of the 1TB HD to be 512 kb sector size?
Thanks for cooperation.
Regards.
