Hi Guys,

I saw an older thread in this forum regarding HD-DVD backup, last post was in Feb. 2011…I have ordered a Hub and want to transfer my files to a NAS for streaming to the Hub…I am using MakeMKV and have the files saved to my PC hard drive, ready for transfer…

Does the Hub still read MKV files for backed-up HD disks? It was my impression from the other thread that it was no problem, but that was months ago…

Yes, the WD TV Live Hub will read your MKV files. If the files are not zipped or compressed by any backup program, you will be able to transfer your files.

Thanks, I was also concerned about the 2:3 pulldown flags for HD-DVD, I read in other forums that was an issue with playing backed up HD disks on a media player…

Thanks for the response, I feel better now I can play my backed up HD disks…My files are movie-only 1:1 copies of my disks in an mkv container…they are not compressed…
