Having to reboot My Cloud regularly!

Hi,

I’m hoping someone can just advise me on a problem I’m having.

I’m regularly having to reboot the My Cloud drive. This can be frustrating as I store all my media on it and stream it to various devices around the house. So when the drive can’t be located on the network, I’m then having to reboot the drive to get it to be detected again. 

I’m finding I’m having to do this at least once a week. Is this normal, or is there a problem that might need addressing?

I have the latest firmware update, and the drive is passing all its own self tests.

Any advice?

No, it’s not normal, in my experience.

I wonder if your drive is disappearing from your network due to a dynamic IP address.  Have you set it to be static (probably using your router)?  This might stop it vanishing.
