Having problems with My Passport

First problem was the other day when I restarted my computer and smartware forced me to do a free 30 day trial using the pro version.   I am not really interested in this and want to know if I can go back to what I was using.

Today I had Microsoft do a remote with my computer to resolve some issues, and after starting it back up I tried to open smartware and it will not let me do so.  Troubleshooting did not help.

Did you try to uninstall the software and then reinstall it?
