Having Problems Playing Videos

Hey everyone, about a week and a half ago, I downloaded the new firmware (1.08.17). Everything worked fine until I tried to play an MKV file of a blu ray that I created after the firmware update. If I turn on the device, all video files created and loaded onto the 3TB and 2TB WD harddrives that I have connected to the WDTV play fine. Even a 720p MKV plays fine. But when I attempt the play any of the 4 files of blu rays created after the update, the player gets to the point where it has the lower bar with the correct end time and showing that it is at 0:00 but it will never start playing. If I try to hit back and play one of the older videos, it won’t ever even get to where the lower bar shows up, stays on the circle arrow spinny thing. I even tried to let it load for over an hour and nothing. The only way to get the older videos to play again is to unplug the power source from the WDTV and let everything reset.

At first I thought it was a problem of corrupted files but I tried to re-encode them with handbrake with a lower quality 1080 MKV than most of the older files (that will play fine) and it still does the same thing.

Any one have any thoughts about what could be wrong? I very much appreciate all help!

By the way, here is the info on one of the files that won’t play

There have been issues with MKV’s before so I don’t think this is a problem with the firmware

hopefully some of the codecs connoisseurs will chime in and help
