Having access issues after switching from Public to Private

As long as I am in Public on a share, I can access the share perfectly. My settings are for Active Directory. I switch to private, set parameters for the users, then I lose my access moving forward. I get prompted for a login to the share, doesn’t accept. I noticed in the share properties, the Security tab goes awol while in the private mode. Switch back to public, and it’s back. Was looking for some assistance from the community today.


It helps to know what WD Device you own and what firmware/OS!

This device is a PR2100, running firmware version 5.17.107.
