Has anyone used the WDBGXT0000NBK-UESN live streaming player as a signage type device to loop video to a display TV
This is to play HD video in waiting room areas etc.
Wondering how hot this device gets when left on playing video/ idle?
Has any one used it for 24 hrs cycle or less cycle ?
Can it auto start a play list if turned off and turned on.
I imagine to play files from a USB external 2.5" portable drive
I have previous model which was slightly warm when in use and have in a daytime time looping situation for 6 month now I think.
Apprciate any experiences thoughts

If you put a video file into a folder and press play on the folder then while playing you can use options to set the video to replay the video continuously. I’m sure this would work for audio files as well.
I use the box a lot and although it gets warm, I haven’t noticed anything major with heat issues.
I’ve had it on for extended times (up to 20+ hours) and it’s still pretty darn good.
I’ve never used playlists so hopefully someone else here can help with that.
any USB drive should work fine (but take caution with USB 3.0)
