Harddisc firmware

Hello all of you, 

I cannot use my external harddics WDBAA0010HBK-01 because the drive is not recognised

in te surveyor of Windows 7 and the disk management.

Looking for what caused the problem I foud out the the firmware of the disc should be corrupted.

but on the WD site I cannot find an upgrade or the original firmware.

Who helps?

there are no updates for that drive unfortunately

the elements is the most basic external HD available
