Hello All:

Quick question about replacing the drives if one should go bad…

I currently have the 12tb unit which is 3tb per slot…if one was to go bad, do I need to replace that with a 3tb drive or can I go bigger and have for example have 3 bays with 3tb and 1 bay with a 6tb drive…would that work?

It will work. It will only use 3TB of the 6TB drive though.

Are you saying that due to the RAID config of the device…or since I have it as JBOD, it would give me the full 6tb?
