Does someone knows the largest hard drive capacity that can be connected to the wd-live ?..

If I recall rightly it is not capacity which is a problem, it is number of files within the directory structure. I think Tony or mkelly had an issue with a large directory of files. Lets see if they post here?

Connected to USB - 2 TB’s I’m told.

NAS - Shouldn’t be limited.

Ok I see, but I prefer to have it directly connected to the usb port.

Will an usb hub work with the wd-live??

No, a hub will not work.

b.Rad’s custom firmware for the WD Live (not Live Plus) adds USB Hub functions, but this will void your warrenty. If you are interested in reading up on all the extras his firmware adds, you can do a google search for WDLXTV

Thank’s all of you for your help. But I read on the ideas lab that the usb hub was on the ‘to do’ list… I will be waiting and hoping for it…  Hoping it will not be too long before they do it.
