My windows is not recognizing the Harddisk. I tried to keep the USB cable on different ports of my system. I also tried keeping power cable too. Nothing is happening, it is not appearing on my system.
Check Disk Management and Device Manager. In Windows 11 right click Start and open Disk Management to see if the drive appears as offline or unallocated. If it does Windows can see it and it just needs to be brought online or initialized. Then open Device Manager and check Disk drives and USB controllers for any unknown or error marked device. If it shows nowhere try the hard drive on another PC or with a different USB enclosure because faulty enclosures are very common. If there is no sound or light even with power the drive itself is likely dead.
