H264/H.264/AVC any progress so far on this codec?

Hi!

A long time ago working on h264 was promised (03/2010 I think) and up to now I have not heard anythign about it again.

Is there any progress or did you stop working and dont have the nuts to announce it will never work?

At least baseline level 31 would be nice to have if Cabac and bframes are to difficult to do.
