[GUIDE] NZBGet 11.0

firmware: v03.00.03-413

still same error if I try apt-get install nzbget

the tutorial worked just fine before fw 4.xx.the only thing is the typo with the webgui/webui. maybe the OP could edit that part.

unfortunatelly there was no info about the aptitude error with fw 4.xx a few weeks ago, when i upgraded to that fw. after upgrading both sickbeard and nzbget were gone, and i tried to reinstall them. sickbeard worked just fine, but with nzbget i got the same problems you faced, the dashboard was gone but the device itself was still working, so i didn’t do anything for a while and last week i followed the tip from someone on this board to restore the old settings through the button on the back and to reboot the device. after that the dashboard still wasn’t working and now i don’t even have ssh anymore. which means my mycloud is bricked for good now. shares are still working but i can’t really do anything.

what way did you use to downgrade to the old fw?

the only way i see now is to break it open get the hdd out to save my files and flash the whole thing (read a how to for a my book about that). and i really wouldn’t like to do that.

I opened it and plugged it to my ubuntu desktop, saved the files and flashed with firmware 3 clean image. But even after that apt is failing for weird reasons

too bad, i thought there may be another way.

should have read pages 2 and 3 of this before installing it. Bricked my mycloud on v3 firmware lol. Oh well restore via linux

I am getting a error…

When typing:

sed -i 's/ControlIP=127.0.0.1/ControlIP=0.0.0.0/g' /etc/nzbget.conf

I get:

sed: can’t read /etc/nzbget.conf: No such file or directory

Thanks already for helping!

Is there any possibility to get nzbget working on MyCloud 3TB with latest Firmware v04.01.02-417 without bricking it?

Please check  :

And test nzbget on V4

Greetings.

I tried it … but I can’t get it working.

I add the repository, run “apt-get update”

after this “apt-get install nzbget”

But all I get is a lot off errors :-/

Hi guys, I’m having a hard time trying to install nzbget after I’ve bricked my MyCloud, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m on firmware WDMyCloud v03.03.01-156 : Core F/W as I haven’t managed to install this version on the version from the other post on v4.

This is the error that i’m getting when I try to install it via apt-get:

WDMyCloud:~# apt-get install nzbget

Reading package lists… Done

Building dependency tree

Reading state information… Done

You might want to run ‘apt-get -f install’ to correct these:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

nzbget : Depends: libjs-elycharts (>= 2.1.5) but it is not going to be installed

Depends: libjs-jquery (>= 1.7.2) but it is not going to be installed

Depends: libjs-raphael (>= 2.1.0) but it is not going to be installed

Depends: libjs-twitter-bootstrap (>= 2.0.2) but it is not going to be installed

Depends: libgnutls-deb0-28 (>= 3.3.0) but it is not going to be installed

Depends: libpar2-1 but it is not going to be installed

Depends: libstdc++6 (>= 4.9) but 4.7.2-5 is to be installed

par2 : Depends: libstdc++6 (>= 4.9) but 4.7.2-5 is to be installed

E: Unmet dependencies. Try ‘apt-get -f install’ with no packages (or specify a solution).

I’ve noticed that the version in the source is 13.0 not 11.0 as the post says so I’ve also tried to download the 11.0 version (

nzbget_11.0+dfsg-1_armhf.deb) to install manually, but also no luck.

Many thanks!

I have been trying to get new version of OpenVPN to be installed on my MyBookLive (MBL).

Though I have nothing to do with NZB or usenet, I find this thread interesting since I have been facing the same apt related errors that have been described in the earlier pages on this thread.

Is there a way to improve the security of the MBL by using a newer version of openvpn and enabling iptables?
