I’m interested in the GSPEED Shuttle XL 80TB but it is only thunderbolt 2 and I’m running an older motherboard (EVGA classified SR-2 on one machine, ASrock X79 Exteme 11 on another machine). Does anyone know of any way to add thunderbolt 2 capability to an older board like this? All the thunderbolt 2 cards I’m finding (ASRock, HP) say they require recent motherboards that have the special AIC connector. Is there any way to get around that, using an external box, a special kind of card, or something else?
