Gspeed es speed

Hi,

I have always beed a bit concerned about the speed of my ES unit as in all the advertising and info it talks about 250MB/Sec.
I have never been able to get more than 160 read or write, have i done some thing wrong?
I am running it on a HP Z800 using the supplied Rocket raid 2314 Esata card, with 4 hitachi 2TB drives on raid 5.
Should i be expecting more, or be happy with what I have??

250 is the speed you get if the unit is in RAID0. RAID5 is slower but offers protection against a failed drive.

RAID0 gives you more performance but no protection.
