Hi everyone. I would like to install Mythbuntu 12.04 on My Book Essential 2TB external harddrive. I have read many articles and post concerning GPT. I would like to know if the harddrive is gpt compatible? My system is Inspiron 560. Any assistance will be appreciated. sister6091:cry:
You can initialize any disk drive as GPT as long as you have the required utilities or Operating System. However, you may need to perform a full erase (Write zeros) before you can initialize the unit as GPT.
