Google Photo Sync albums

I have a My Cloud Duo. I can sync “root-level” pictures and albums with MyCloud, but not the album contents. Can this be fixed?

Thanks, but I need more clarity: The only what to sync all Google Photo contents is to have NO albums in google photos, correct?

The “Preservation” of Albums is not supported, but the content will sync down.

My content does not sync down. Is there something I need to do for this? Thanks in advance. Sync from Google Photos is enabled (and has been)
