GOOD bye Black mamba help!

Anyone get GBBM Genre folders to function on smp???thank in advance …

you do realize you need to actually provide info for us to help

and yes GBBM works perfectly on my SMP

Cant GET GENRE FOLDER SHEETS to work?

name the sheet to match your folder

put the sheet in the root of the them directory

pretty basic stuff

if you’re trying to use media library with linksheets,

nearly every tutorial on linksheets tells you to delete the xml files, and turn off media library

but it is possible with media library enabled

you have to delete the name tag and clear the library

how shud this be setup in thumbgen??

go read the manual

Nevermind I got it to Work…Thanks

the root folder CAN be accessed

you put your linksheet images in the folder before uploading the theme

or you can check out WDLXTV firmwares for alternate methods

True! but what Kad79 failed to tell you is that the total size of the theme upload muust not exceed 30mb so you’re limited to the amount of linksheets you can use

I did mention WDLXTV

but yes, uploaded themes are limited to 30MB

WDLXTV however allows you to run a theme off any connected drive

Hi,

Thanks for your answers … what is WDLXTV ? what’s that meaning ? … is there any place to find how folders should be ? everybody said “Yes, it’s possible” … “Yes, …” but how to do ? how it should be ?.. i have read lot of posts without finding simple answer … thanks

since you don’t clearly state what your problem is, how do we help you

create folder linksheet, put linksheet inside theme, done

as for wdlxtv, it’s an alternative custom firmware, which is not official supported by WD

it makes a lot of advanced options available

why don’t you actually go to wdlxtv.com and see what it is

Ok … I will try to explain but please forgive my english … :flushed:

I’m using a Nas to collect films. In the Nas I have these folders :

Videos

     Movies

          Terminator                                (folder)

               Terminator1.jpg                     (film)

               Terminator1.mkv                   (film)

               Terminator1.xml                    (film)

               Terminator1_sheet.jpg          (film)

               Terminator2.jpg                     (film)

               Terminator2.mkv                   (film)

               Terminator2.xml                    (film)

               Terminator2_sheet.jpg          (film)

          Transformers          (folder)

               Transformers1…

               Transformers2…

          Armageddon…               (film)

          Battleship…                    (film)

          Brave…                           (film)

          …

     TVSeries

     …

I can correctly see sheets for all films but when I enter in Movies folder, the 1st folder (Terminator) is selected : the folder has Terminator1 cover and an empty background. I’d like to see a folder background image that I can build using ThumbGen … I hope that is more clear …

You told me to create folder linksheet but where ? at same level than which one ?

Thanks for your help …

you need to follow the guide that was downloaded with theme

based on your set up, I doubt you’re currently using linksheets at all

linksheets

are static, don’t change and don’t move

they go inside the theme itself

must be renamed to non-standard naming conventions

also do not function correctly when xml’s are present - unless xml’s are editted

SMP is also limited to 30mb themes, which means your going to run out of room very quickly

unless you want to hack the device with wdlxtv

Ok KAD79 … I think I will use this theme like like that the time to find another one easier to deploy … It works for films as I expected to and I don’t have enough time to fix  it …

Thanks a lot…
