I’ve been using a My Passport device quite succesfully for a while now. Today I was asked if I wanted to update, which rather foolishly I agreed to.

Since the update the device just doesn’t work. When I plug in and open the software the Backup and Retrieve tabs are greyed out and on the Home tab the My Passport file structure just doesn’t mimic the My PC one.

Any thoughts on how to rescue this?

Do you left click on the icon for your Passport HDD?  If not, the Backup and Retreive tabs will look greyed out.
