Getting massage an I/O device error

Hi …

When I connect my Ext. WD Hard Drive, it doesn’t appear. When I go to the manage option and select “Disk management” I can see the Hard Drive but not initialized, when I click to initialize it says “The request can not be performed because of an I/O device error”

kindly give me the solution 




I would recommend replacing the USB cable first, if you still encounter the same issue afterwards then it could unfortunately confirm a device failure.
