No, WD TV HD v2 does not have an ethernet port, WD TV Live does.
Here are some example model numbers:
Live: WDBAAP0000NBK, WDBAAN0000NBK
HD v2: WDBABG0000NBK, WDBABF0000NBK
Mini: WDBAAM0000BK, WDBAAL0000NBK

In my personal opinion it’s not worth going out and buying another one to change to Gen 2, but the Live is a different story. With the live you don’t need to drag your drive all around the house to watch your movies - just get a My Book World or WD ShareSpace and you can watch your movies off the drive (which you can in turn drag and drop files to from your PCs or Macs)
