I have an older Gen2 MyCloud (not MyCloud Home), and installed OS5 2 days ago. Read the WD instructions beforehand. After the upgrade, I could access the dashboard & open via local network, but “Cloud Access” was offline. After much investigation, discovered that the upgrade had wiped clean my “Port Forwarding”. After fixing that, it connected but took quite a while to complete “indexing”. My old link to access my data via internet did not work, and I discovered that I needed to use “os5.mycloud.com”. After this, all was OK.
You are lucky. For some reason, my indexing take forever and hang any connection to it (dashboard or SSH) and i cannot afford to wait for it to finish. I did not sign up for this. Hence i decided to revert back to good old OS3 which is faster than waiting for indexing to complete.
