I have an older G-speed Q 4tb unit that has USB 2.0, FW800 and eSata.
I wanted to replace the drives at 4x8TB. (32TB). Are there any restrictions?

That USB 2.0 unit only ever shipped with a max of 2TB per slot. It wasn’t tested with larger drives but it should be capable. We have no support to offer for that request.
