G-SPEED es Pro Temperature Warning Alarm

I have a fairly old G-SPEED es Pro, which up until recently has been trouble free.

The past couple of weeks however, the temperature warning alarm and red LED have been sounding/flashing on start up. It lasts anything from 10-30 secs and then stops. The drives all boot up fine once the PC starts up and the es Pro operates normally for the rest of the day.

It is quite warm in the room in the mornings, but the unit can’t be overheating when it’s been switched off all night. Perhaps the fan isn’t kicking in straight away? I’m not sure.

Does anyone have any similar experiences or suggestions?

All of my data is backed up and I am looking into replacements anyway (including upgrading the PC to allow for more storage options) but I could do with the es Pro lasting a few more weeks!!
