G-RAID with Thunderbolt connect 2 computers on?

Hi, i was wondering if i can connect up to 2 different devices on a G-RAID with 2x Thunderbolt ports or it is only for chain devices? It’s the model with 2x thunderbolt ports shaped as a mini DP and holds up 8tb.

The two ports are meant for daisy chaining other Thunderbolt devices. You cannot hook up a single drive to two computers at once.

Im a bit troubled, i want to buy one but i dont know if i should wait for the one with the USB C or get now the one with thunderbolt ports and USB.
I own a Macbook Pro with USB C ports and Windows desktop with USB A, for the macbook i should need an adapter from usb c to the thunderbolt (mini DP), and on the G-RAID i want to connect a monitor with a displayport cable as im having it at the moment without the G-RAID between them.

Would that work?
