G-RAID Thunderbolt 3 8 TB

Hello,

I have a G-RAID Thunderbolt 3 8TB (Dual 4TB and default is RAID 0) and been using for years. Would like to know how to change it to RAID 1 Mirror?

Best Regards

First. RTM. Go to the product page and get the user manual for more details.

Changing the Raid will erase all of your existing data so you’ll need to backup everything first. Then use the configurator app to make the change. Once complete, copy all of your data back.

Bear in mind, that if you are keeping your 4tb drives, you will lose 4tb of capacity as each drive will become a copy of the other. So if you have more than 4tb of data currently (before the Raid change), you won’t have enough room left after the change to put it all back.

So you must either increase the size of the disks (both of them), delete a bunch of stuff, or add another device.

Thanks for your prompt!! and already find the G-RAID with Thunderbolt Configurator link from another post.

Cheers!!
