G-raid show as regular disk in Disk Utility

I have two G-Raid unit. One 8TB Thunderbolt 2 and one 16TB Thunderbolt 3.

When I look in Disk Utility (MacOS) I see my 8TB under “RAID Sets” but not My 16TB. The disk seems to work fine, I have access to all the 16TB, but I’m wondering if there is something wrong in my config that could speed things up…

Your 8TB unit sounds like it is the G-RAID w/ Thunderbolt which means it only has Thunderbolt ports, that device was a software RAID drive and so Disk Utility will be where you manage the RAID and thats why you see the RAID set. The newer unit is a hardware RAID device and it is managed by our software.
