G-Raid - Background Synchronization Soo Slow Help

Hi All.

I have two G-Raid Shuttle 8 Bay 144TB units and I formatted one of the units from Raid 5 to Raid 6 which has started the unit to do a Synchronization.

Questions i have:

  1. Do you have to wait for this to finish before you can use the unit or is the initialization enough?

  2. Is there anyway of speeding up the Background Synchronization? I have set it to high in this hope it will but only making getting about 8-10% progress in every 24 hours.

  3. Is it possible to have 2 units doing Background Synchronization on the one MacMini M1? I noticed you have to open up two G-Raid Software Utility to mange them each.

Hey there, I’ve just started the exact same process as you and I was wondering if you found a way to speed up the process? If not, how long did it take in the end?

I’m interested in how long this took also please? Another question is after leaving it over night, even with all the sleep options set to “not go to sleep”, I found the synchronization “queued” & not running… any ideas why that might be?
