G-RAID 16TB TB2 - config to RAID1 but only seeing 8TB? HAS IT COPIED?

I’ve configured The external hard drive to RAID 1 but I can only see 1 hard drive on the desktop with 8TB total. I understand that’s one of the drives in the raid unit but how do I know it’s copied over to the other one? I was told by the tech support of where I bought it that it does copy and the only way you know it’s NOT copying is if a red light shows on the unit. Are they right. I’d like to see proof it’s copied on my desktop.

Anyone know the answer?

The fact that the drive is half the capacity and shows as one drive means it is working as intended. You cannot verify RAID without destroying the RAID.
