G-ev ATC Shows Maxed but Zero Files

So, I have been using my GDrive ev ATC for a while now. I plugged it in the other day and it stopped showing in finder. When I select disc utility it shows up and also shows that it is 100% full. The last time I used it it had about 500gb out of 1tb used.

No mater what cable I used, thunderbolt or usb 3.0, the results are the same. I have tried using disc recover software, but I get back sporadic results.

Does anyone have any advice on what I should do. I have to get these files back for work. I know if I formatted the drive I could use it again but I really need to get some personal/work files off of this drive ASAP.

What your likely experiencing is corruption of the partition on the drive. There are two options.

  1. Erase the drive, cleaning off the corruption and start over.
  2. Use a powerful repair utility to rebuild the partition. This software is Disk Warrior.
