G-DRIVE WON'T CNX WITH iMAC

Hi all.

iMac (late-2015 with retina disp), OS 10.13.6

The mac has T2 ports; the G-DRIVE has T3. I purchased the official mac T2 to T3 adaptor, which as is clearly stated on the Apple website:

“As a bidirectional adapter, it can also connect new Thunderbolt 3 devices to a Mac with a Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 port and macOS Sierra or later.”

So WHY does the G-Drive not connect?

Just update the firmware. Still no go.

And, if y’all know, should I be beating on WD support (who sends me updates, but doesn’t seem to have a link for G support), G Technology support (who doesn’t seem awake), or whom?

Mine won’t connect either. I have OS 10.15.5. It’s so frustrating.
