G-DRIVE USB-C 4TB Desktop Hard Drive booting twice?

I just got my third G-DRIVE USB-C 4TB Desktop Hard Drive, and am using it with my 2018 Macbook Pro running MacOS Monterey (alhough I was also having this issue before I updated my OS from Mojave).

Whenever I plug it in and turn it on, two different partitions boot in my Finder. One is most of the space, the other is only about 4Gb. I’ve erased the drive, reformatted it, but nothing is fixing this.

Is there an easy way to get rid of the second partition so it only boots one drive with all the space?
