G Drive Mobile USB-C 4TB drive has broke micro board and usb-c connector. Need advice?

Greetings, I own hundreds of G Tech hard drives and I have never had one failure. I loaned a friend this drive and when I got it back, I noticed the connection USB-C female was pushed in, and the green micro board inside the container was cracked. The actual 2.5" drive appears to be intact. Can the data on the drive be salvaged if the usb-c connector is broken and cracked off the board? I realize you cannot do that but can a separate repair company salvage the data?
