A “Full Test” on MyCloud says: 10%, 20%, 30% 40%…back to 20%…
Is this normal / to be expected? Anyone know what it’s actually doing?

…then it did the same again (40% to 20%) and has now got to 50%…
Do you have a 1st or 2nd generation My Cloud? 1st = Firmware 04.xx.xx, 2nd = Firmware 02.xx.xx

Yes. I don’t recall seeing anything about completion-percentages going backwards…
@Nefeco My thoughts, it starts over for each sector or area that has to be tested. As noted in second image when complete testing is done results will be shown in a dialog box.
@Nefeco If your not familiar with the inside of a hard drive and how a hard drive works you may want to check this out.
I guessed it was something like that - just looked a bit weird with the “flashbacks” - it’s crept up to 90% now (and then not moved for 3 hours).
