Full Recovery Fails: HR=0x8007000B

Hi All,

I own 4 DX4000 working fine by years but one of them has started to fail performing a Full Recovery from any client, I mean, starting from zero by the Server USB Key. it always fails with the following Log:

you make a new thumb drive? Use a diff thumb drive
drive is as big as the old one?
what error shows in the wizard?
format the drive first

Thanks for your quickly reply, I have just create another thumb drive (using a 4 Gb usb 2.0 pendrive) and the destination drive is much bigger than the original one (Original was 320 Gb and new is 500 Gb), anyway I have formatterd it…Thru the Wizard I can reach all the client copies´s history but just after selecting any of them it shows the following error: “Unknow error during the complete restore process - Be sure the Network connection is active and the server is switched on”…then you have the option of to save the log which is the one I copied. I have try also into another network based into a simple router with the same result. Also I have try to restore another clients copies with the same result. Thanks for your support.

More Info: If I try to restore folders instead the full restore from server it works correctly but I need a full restore because the copy is archived on server and not longer online. Thanks

Hi Gramps, I already tried to repair Backups ddbb and I haven´t any AV installed even Windows Defender is disabled. I have also tried to disable Firewall on server without success. What does the following error means, which is present in the log and I believe is the root of this problem:

You can try to compare logs with the link below.
Has the bios changed from ahci to sata or is it set to intel raid or any of these type changes?

I have seen errors where you need to create the partitions but you say you are not getting that far

do you have another similar pc you could put the drive in and try it on a diff box? or just boot a different box and see if the wizard goes farther

Is this box just bad? Why are you having to restore? The new drive is not a hybrid version with some ssd. Do you have another hard drive laying around even if it is smaller to see if it gets past this?

We need to figure out if it is the server or the client, but I think it is client. FWIW, WHS2011 is the same animal

Hi Gramps,

I have tried everything, change the BIOS settings from AHCI to Native ID and viceversa, another box, another PC, different type of drives inlcuding Sata 1, 2 , 3 and SSD, installing specific Drive and Network drivers in the Wizard and always the same result. I really think the problem is on server because same PCs trying full restore from another same working fine DX4000 NAS Server works without problems.
We need to restore the client due to Drive Failure and so all her documents depends on this. Regarding your link, Lease time into our DHCP Server is set to 3 days and is not the problem, also I tried into another simple network sith same result.
Is there any way to access to Achieved copies from an online client?, anyway let me know anything you need to solve this situation. Thank you so much for your support. Best

So are you saying that this computer is listed as archived in the dashboard and you cannot do files and folders for archived computers?

The thumb drive is created on the problem server?

Hi Gramps, sorry the delay, another critical war have been occuping my mind for some days…I update you the status, the server finally went down and it does not initialize any more. …Under this scenario I passed to the option of recover the data from the Raid using my updated licensed program: Reclaime Raid Recovery + Reclaime File Recovery. It detects healthly the folder “Client Computers Backup” with all its .dat files etc…Now I am trying to restore only the files regarding my critical desktop last backup in order to then use your extraction tool for to extract data. Do you think is possible to narrow the files I need to recover?, I mean, to restore the whole server means another necessary NAS or huge HD to fit its content and I don´t need that, I just need to identify which are the .dat files that contains the backups I need from a single computer. you need the entire folder for the tool to pull out what you need. well possibly not the entire but the big database file takes up most of the space so just best to get them all
