FTP Access to My Cloud EX2

Hi,

I have successfully ftp access to My Cloud EX2 from external network. But I am not asked to enter my login and password, so when anyone enter ftp://myIPaddress in the web browser, he can access to my files. What must be done on the dashboard to secure the access ?

I’d recommend leaving public shares empty if using FTP.

except someone can put a virus file or kind of files with bad content that can produce damage to the NAS owner.

It would be great a slide button for the public folders to make them visible or not  on the FTP

Hello

On the File tab settings, you have to indicate if you want you can access the folder by FTP and who can access the folder by FTP.
