I was fast forwaring during a movie (iso file) when nothing appeared on the screen, however the unit was still responsive. I powered down and attempted to power up again however now it is stuck at the wd logo boot screen and power light is continually flashing. I have done a hard reset as well as power cycling but to no avail. Anyone have insight on how to fix this?
You could try powering off for at least 10 minutes. It says in the manual that the power LED blinking means that a system diagnostic failure occurred. They suggest the action above and if that does work to contact WD support.
