I’ve been using the My Book Live for about a year now.

I use it to back up to and copy my pictures to.

Everything has been working.

I’m still back on Firmware Version 01.02.03 because everything has been working and didn’t see a need to upgrade.

So, a while back I looked at the My Book Live and the Front LED is not on anymore.

I can access the drive and everything works normally, just no LED.

Has this happened to others?

Is this a sign of something bigger going on?

Or is is just an LED out that I can ignore?

Well, I’d run a full test on the configuration page just to make sure, and if you enabled SSH then there’s a command to force the LED light on for testing.
