Best Buy saved me PC data to the WD 2 and 3 USB Passport Essential. When the PC couldn’t be resurrected, I bought an iMac and I don’t seem to be able to download the data from the WD to my new iMac. Is it not possible, or am I just missing something. Do I have to download it to my PC laptop first and then transfer it to my iMac. Most of the data I wanna save are jpg photos, but there are documents as well. Thanks for your assistance.
If you had Windows on the other PC the data will be read only because of the different formats used. Download NTFS-3G http://mac-free.com/download/NTFS-3G.html it should work then.
