When I play movies from my passport, there is a frequent pause in movie playback. In VLC the frame freezes and begins to pixelate for a few seconds and the resume. In windows media player the frame just stops and resumes but no pixelation. So i suspect there is some problam with the external drive. I have windows 7 32 bit in my laptop. I have this problem only when I play the movie from the external drive, but the same movie’s play back is fine if it is present in the internal drive. Is it a genuine problem ?
Hi, try to connect the HDD to another PC to see if the same problem continues, if the same thing happens backup all of your files from the external HDD, then format it.
