I have a MyBook World Edition, Blue Rings that has bad sectors. I have removed all of the data off the drive that I can access. Is there a way to format the drive and scan for bad sectors?
No, there is not. However you can reset the unit to factory defaults and see if that helps. Otherwise, you should most likely RMA the drive.
